Modelled on a 60 ml pour at 40% ABV in a room at 22°C. Ice does get a drink colder — melting absorbs heat, which is exactly why it costs you the water. Steel trades a few degrees for a drink that still tastes like the one you poured.

Freeze, pour, rinse, repeat
You will do this a few thousand times.

Freeze
Leave the cubes in the freezer for at least two hours. Keep them in the tray they arrive in and they stay ready.

Pour
Drop two to four cubes into the glass, then pour over them. They chill on contact and hold the temperature.

Rinse
Rinse under the tap or put them through the dishwasher, dry, and return them to the freezer for next time.
