Modelled on a 60 ml pour at 40% ABV in a room at 22°C. Ice does get a drink colder - melting absorbs heat, which is exactly why it costs you the water. Steel trades a few degrees for a drink that still tastes like the one you poured.

The cube itself

304 is the alloy commercial kitchens are built from. Non-porous, so there is no surface for flavours or freezer smells to sit in and nothing to leach out. Each cube is electropolished to a finish you can feel, then sealed. No gel, no liquid core.

Freeze

From room temperature to ready. Keep a set in the freezer and skip the wait.
Chill

How long three cubes hold a 60 ml pour cold, without adding a drop.
You will do this a few thousand times.
Freeze
Leave the cubes in the freezer for at least two hours. Keep them in the tray they arrive in and they stay ready.
Pour
Drop two to four cubes into the glass, then pour over them. They chill on contact and hold the temperature.
Rinse
Rinse under the tap or put them through the dishwasher, dry, and return them to the freezer for next time.
My whisky used to go watery after ten minutes. These keep it cold without touching the flavour, and they look incredible in the glass.
Bought them for my husband. They chill faster than the stone ones we had and go straight in the dishwasher. No freezer smell.
I drop these in a Pinot Grigio that is not quite cold enough. No dilution, no flavour picked up from the cubes.
